American Indian Parent Advisory Committee
Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose School District is committed to supporting the academic success, well-being, and cultural identity of our American Indian students. Our goal is for American Indian students to reach their full potential within their school communities through meaningful, equitable, and targeted educational experiences that affirm and value their unique cultural identities.
Our American Indian Education Program works in collaboration with families, staff, community members, and the American Indian Parent Advisory Committee (AIPAC) to identify and support the educational and cultural needs of American Indian students. Guided by the Minnesota Department of Education’s American Indian Education Department, we seek to strengthen family engagement, promote student achievement, and provide opportunities that foster cultural awareness, pride, belonging, and success.
We welcome the participation and partnership of American Indian families and community members as we work together to support our students and strengthen our school communities. If you would like more information about joining our American Indian Parent Advisory Committee, please contact the American Indian Parent Committee Chair, Adele Walker, at adelewalker20@gmail.com or 218-235-9793.
