PTO

The mission of the Hanover PTO is to promote an open line of communication between parents, teachers and administration to give our students extra educational opportunities, what we call the "Hanover Experience."

Volunteering

Hanover has had a long standing program of volunteerism throughout the school.  Over the years, this program has completed an incomprehensible amount of work for the staff and students at Hanover.

Fundraising

HES raises money through cash donations, collecting Box Tops for Education, Loaves 4 Learning, Coca-Cola bottle caps, Amazon Smile and used ink cartridges.

PTO Information

The mission of the Hanover PTO (Parent/Teacher Organization) is to promote an open line of communication between parents, teachers and administration to give our students extra educational opportunities, what we call the "Hanover Experience."

PTO meetings provide information and discussion on fundraising and the current PTO events, along with where fundraising dollars are best invested. Meetings are held once a month and all parents are welcome to attend. The meetings are attended by Hanover parents, the PTO board/parent representatives, a school representative and Principal Brad Koltes.

Want to volunteer?

There are many opportunities for parents and community members to contribute their time and talents to the school. Everyone benefits from these contributions. You will receive information on volunteer opportunities throughout the year through classroom teachers, school announcements and through our PTO. Please call the school office if you have questions regarding these volunteering opportunities.

Any volunteer, employee, substitute, coach, or student teacher at Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools must have a Criminal Background Investigation check through our district completed and approved, before their first day of employment or before volunteering in the BHM school district.

To complete the Criminal Background Investigation, please print and complete the Background Authorization Form, then turn your form in to the Hanover office.  Once your form is submitted the office will send you an email through the Trusted Employees website that contains a link to log on to their secure website where you will enter your personal information to complete your background check.  A credit or debit card will be needed for payment. The fee is currently $14.

If you DO NOT have any access to a computer or a debit/credit card, please contact the school office for manual entry instructions.

*At this time we are not able to accept copies of background checks from other districts or employers.

Fundraising Information

PTO organizes one major fundraiser. Instead of selling items, PTO asks for cash donations to ensure 100% goes towards supporting Hanover Elementary. Leveraging your employer's charitable matching program is an excellent way to take advantage of an opportunity that doesn't cost you more, but benefits the students of HES. Money raised from the fall fundraiser will help each child benefit from the Hanover Experience with technology upgrades, classroom activities, STEM activities, literacy, experiential and cultural experiences and community outreach.

Other ways to help raise money for our school include collecting Box Tops for Education, Loaves 4 Learning, Coca-Cola bottle caps, Amazon Smile and used ink cartridges.
