Kindergarten Open House & Pre-Conferences

Kindergarten parents and their child are invited to schedule a session with the classroom teacher, called a "kindergarten pre-conference" once the kindergarten teacher welcome letters are sent out in August.  The purpose of this conference time is to familiarize the student and parent with the teacher, classroom, the Parkside building and the kindergarten curriculum. We do this in smaller groups of approximately 8 parents and their child so that there is ample opportunity to answer any questions in a smaller setting. These pre-conferences replace the regular Parkside Open House on August 27th.

To schedule your pre-conference visit, you will make an appointment at 4:00, 5:00 or 6:00 pm, and the session lasts approximately 45 minutes.  You will use the link below for MyConferenceTime, where parents will be able to schedule their time in August once teacher letters have been sent out. This is the same website where you will schedule your child's Fall and Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences.

*Kindergarten parents are also welcome to come to the regular Parkside Open House on Tuesday, August 27 between 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm to meet the Specialist teachers (PhyEd, Music & Media), bring money to deposit in your child's meal account, talk to the bus company representative or visit with other community organizations. However the kindergarten teachers and classrooms may not be available on this evening.
