Previous Information

The Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose School Board has three seats open for election.    The terms are for four years. These positions will be included on the November 8, 2022 General Election ballot. 

A candidate for this office must be an eligible voter, must be 21 years of age or more on assuming office, must have been a resident of the School District from which the candidate seeks election for 30 days before the general election and must have no other affidavit on file for any other office at the same primary or ensuing election.

The Affidavit of Candidacy form can be found on the Secretary of State's website at www.sos.state.mn.us/election-administration-campaigns/become-a-candidate.  You may print the form and complete it and mail it to the ISD #877 District Office, Attn: School Board Election, 214 – 1st Ave NE, Buffalo MN  55313.  The form must be notarized and the $2 filing fee must be included (checks payable to ISD 877).  You may also print the form and bring it to the District Office where you can complete it and the form will be notarized for you.

The filing period is from 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2022 through 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

Campaign Finance Reporting
Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 211A.02, Subd. 6, Campaign Finance Reports will be posted here within thirty (30) days of the receipt of the report and will remain available for four (4) years after the posting date.
