Welcome to Hanover Elementary

At HANOVER ELEMENTARY, students pledge to respect one another, to be responsible in doing their very best, and to recognize the rights of others. This pledge forms the foundation of a high-achieving, safe and positive environment, where students consistently score well above state and national averages on standardized tests. Personalized learning practices at Hanover ensure all students are challenged, and highly engaged families work closely with teachers and staff to help students reach their full potential. Hanover serves 430 students in grades K-5.

HES Annual All School Picnic is on Thursday, June 1st from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Food & beverages provided and include: hotdogs, buns, potato salad, chips, watermelon, cookies, juice, sno-cones, plates, napkins, cups and utensils! Families only need to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. In case of rain the event will be held indoors.

New this year: There will be an exhibit of selected pencil drawings from the art residency that was held this school year (the 17th year!!) in January and February with local Artist Mary Ellen Gutknecht, which is made possible through the strong support of the Staff and Hanover PTO. While it was not possible to select and display a drawing from each student for the exhibit, many students will recognize drawings similar to the drawings that they completed in class. There will be over 100 drawings representing students from all grades.
