The transition from elementary to middle school is often an exciting, yet nerve-racking time for students. At BCMS, we want all 6th graders to feel prepared for middle school. In order to help every child with the transition, we are offering a course called Middle School 101 that will greatly enhance students' comfort level by exposing them to common concerns that arise in middle school and equipping them with the skills necessary to be successful.
Prior to a student's start to 7th grade there are Minnesota School Immunization Requirements. The Immunization Requirements include: a Tdap booster, Meningococcal, and a 2nd Varicella (chicken pox) vaccine, if there is no record of having the disease.
The May edition of the BCMS Newsletter "Buffalo Bulletin" is now available to read on line. This edition features several interesting and informative articles including Greetings To All BCMS Families, WEB Has Arrived at BCMS, Middle School 101 and A Walk For Water at BCMS.
Mrs. Atkins, 8th Grade Science teacher, has taken a piece of fabric from EVERY 8th graders PJ pants/bag project they made in FACS and had them write their name on their piece. She has then cut them and is currently assembling them into a quilt. Mrs. Breyer,8th Grade FACS teacher, has learned to use the embroidery machine to incorporate our school words onto other pieces that are being used as row fillers.

Shoes and shirt are required. Families will not be asked to fill out paperwork and no names will be taken. Kids just need to show up to eat! Meals include both hot and cold entrees and will be served on a first come/first served basis.
