Community Education

That's Community Ed!In the Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose School District, we are committed to a mission which emphasizes learning as a lifelong process. Our district Community Education Program is developed through the cooperative efforts of the Community Education Advisory Council, School Board and Community Education Staff. It is through this combined commitment and support that Community Education continues to grow in our district.

The Community Education Program is administered by the school district and by various collaborative arrangements between the school district and the communities of Buffalo, Hanover and Montrose. Through sharing of resources, the residents of the school district are provided with programs, classes and other learning opportunities to people of all ages, infants through senior citizens. The range of programs and activities is vast and virtually endless, reflecting the philosophy of Community Education to be responsive to the needs and interests of the citizens of the community.

A course and information catalog is published quarterly throughout the year. Catalogs are mailed to every district resident. In addition to this catalog, information is regularly published in the weekly newspapers, various Community Education program newsletters, flyers, posters, the weekly Community Education radio program on KRWC, and through other available information channels in the community.
