Who We Are

A rural community just 40 miles west of the Twin Cities lies quietly in the countryside. But stop and take a closer look. It's a dynamic region full of growth and prosperity. Look even closer at the school district. District 877 has all of the opportunities of a large school district within a caring, small town community.

The 157 square mile area that makes up District 877 includes Buffalo, Hanover, Montrose and the surrounding townships. With a district population of over 25,000 residents, over 5,600 students attend 6 elementary schools, a middle school (grades 6-8), a high school (grades 9-12) and an alternative high school.

Hundreds of teachers and staff are all working towards one mission: Making a difference by preparing all students for a successful future in a changing world.
