Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools has received one-time federal funding via three stimulus bills to be used to cover costs incurred as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. These funds were used to hire substitutes, purchase personal protective equipment and cover increased cleaning and sanitation costs. The third stimulus bill, the American Rescue Plan, was signed into law on March 11, 2021. The district was allocated a one-time grant totaling approximately $1.57 million in Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III (ESSER III) funds as part of that legislation. These funds must be used by September 30, 2025.
To receive federal ESSER III funding, the school district must provide an opportunity for public feedback on our spending plan. You can view the district's plan for ESSER III funds, here.
The public is invited to provide feedback on the plan by emailing 877ESSER@bhmschools.org. The deadline for feedback is October 15, 2021.
