Levy Renewal

The operating levy renewal is a renewal of an existing levy. This will not increase residents' property taxes and in many cases will slightly decrease their taxes.

School Board Election

The school board is also looking to fill four seats in this year's election. Four terms are set to expire at the end of 2011 for current board members Melissa Brings, Sue Lee, Patti Pokorney and Rolf Mohwinkel. Only Mohwinkel will not seek another term. In addition to the three incumbents running, three other candidates will be on the ballot for the four-year terms: John Fitzgerald, Dean Perry and Laurie Raymond. Short biographies for each candidate will be posted later in October.

Levy Renewal & Tax Impact

The operating levy renewal is a renewal of an existing levy. The levy went into effect in 2003 and is set to expire after taxes payable in 2012 (10 years).
