The 2008 summer has brought numerous challenges, accomplishments, and improvements within the BHM Technology Department, as we support student learning and the district goals set by the school board.  These projects can be broken down into three categories: student learning; efficiencies, stability and security; and communication.

Beginning this fall, all staff members will have the option to use their full last name as part of their network login and email address.  Our previous username pattern was the first name initial plus the first seven letter of the last name. (The reason for this goes back to an old limitation of our previous system.) We will ensure that the staff member's old email address continues to work indefinitely even after the change is made.

If your last name is longer than seven characters, and you'd like to use your entire last name in your email address, please submit your request to the Request Tracker online or by sending email to "Service Desk" from GroupWise.
