Engineering is Elementary Curriculum

Tatanka utilizes the Engineering is Elementary curriculum. Each kit offers a variety of engineering activities that scaffold on one another and offer hands on learning experiences for our students from kindergarten through fifth grade.

Tatanka Value Added Projects

Our Value Added Projects Tie to Standards and 21st Century Skills

By engaging in value added projects students will:

  • Develop the 21st Century Skills of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity (also known as "The 4 C's)

  • Use information, media, and technology skills as a means of investigating a topic and communicating new understandings

  • Explore authentic community or real-world related topics through interdisciplinary integration

  • Develop proficiency in Minnesota State Academic standards and International Society for Technology in Education standards (also known as the ISTE standards)
