Volunteer Background Check Policy Now In Effect
Effective December 1, district policy states that no parent may volunteer in a classroom or chaperone a field trip without a district approved background check on file. For more informaiton on initiating this process, you may call Principal's Secretary Mary Voerding at 763.682.8615 or stop in the Tatanka Office during normal business hours.
There are many opportunities for people to contribute their time and talents to the school. You will receive information on all volunteer opportunities in the fall and throughout the school year. If you are in the building for a visit or volunteering, please follow the school safety plan by stopping at the office, signing in and wearing a visitor/volunteer tag.
Volunteer Guidelines and Procedures
At Tatanka, parents can also help us in our fundraising efforts by collecting General Mills Box Tops for Education, UPC codes from Campbell's Soups and other Campbell's products. Kemp's and Land O'Lakes Milk Caps and if you have a Target Visa card making Tatanka your designated school to receive 1% back to schools program. All boxtops, milk caps and soup labels can be brought to the school office.

We ask that all volunteers sign a Volunteer Confidentiality Statement each year. These forms are available in the school office, or you may click on the link below to print a copy. Please return the signed copy to the school office.
