Wish List

PRIDE Transitions is a special education program designed for 18-21 year old students from the BHM School District who are in need of additional assistance in transitioning from high school to the world of work and/or furthering their independent living skills.

To help develope those important life skills, PRIDE is seeking donations of a variety of items. Some items are needed for helping to create a mock store for students for instructional purposes. Here are some items that are needed:

 

  • Empty food/cereal boxes
  • Empty CD cases
  • Old clothing in good condition
  • Empty cleaning product containers (cleaned and rinsed out removing chemical residue)
  • Board games
  • Small kitchen appliances (toaster, can opener, hand mixer, etc)
  • Microwave
  • Dish towels and dish cloths
  • Wash cloths and hand towels
  • Tools
  • Crafts
  • Bingo prizes--items such as fun pens/pencils, combs/brushes, new t-shirts (variety of sizes), Hot Wheels, snacks, old trophies, books, PG-13 or lower DVD's, card games, etc.
  • 2 Money Drawers
  • 20 6-Quart Rectangular Sterlite/Rubbermaid Totes
  • 20 12-Quart Rectangular Sterlite/Rubbermaid Totes
  • Bean Bag Toss
  • Goofy Golf Game--(The 3 tiered yard game with 2 golf balls on a string)
  • Table Top Zen Garden with Tools
  • Reading Flash Cards
  • 4 Laminating Rolls--3M DL1001 (Wal-Mart Order or Online Through Other Suppliers)
  • Shelving Units to store Totes of Activities
  • Gift Cards to Local Businesses
  • Colored Ink Pads for Stamping
  • Deodorant
  • ANY hygiene products
  • Adult hair accessories for girls
  • Combs
  • Brushes
  • Bobby pins

If you can make a donation, you can either drop it off at PRIDE during school hours, Monday-Friday, 7:40 a.m.-3:30 p.m. or contact Terri Brummer or Shelly Geurts at 763.682.8890 to schedule a drop-off time.
