5th Graders collecting donations for the Buffalo Food Shelf

Happy Thanksgiving
Tuesday Oct 31, 17

The teachers, staff, and students of Northwinds would like your help in November collecting food donations for the Buffalo Food Shelf. Each year, elementary schools in our district collect food for Thanksgiving Baskets that are given out to families in our community in need. These baskets provide everything a family needs to celebrate a Thanksgiving meal. Once again, Northwinds Elementary has been asked to encourage families to donate one or more of the following items:

--boxes of jello
--fruit cocktail (canned)
--bags of mini-marshmallows

Cash donations are always accepted. (Checks can be made out to Buffalo Food Shelf) The Buffalo Food Shelf takes all cash donations and buys the additional supplies they need at a greatly reduced discount through Second Harvest. Any donation your family can make this holiday season is sure to make a big difference for the families in our community in need.

Donations will be accepted by Northwinds teachers and staff October 30 - November 9. Extra help may be needed to assemble baskets; if you or your family is interested in helping, contact The Buffalo Food Shelf Director, Roger Brenny: sandyrogerbrenny@charter.net

Thank you for your consideration,

Mr. Eric Carlson
