14th Annual Porkchop Feed

The 877 Foundation is sponsoring their 14th Annual Scholarship Pork Chop Feed on Thursday, April 3 from 4-7 p.m. at the Buffalo Community Middle School.  The meal includes: pork chop, beans, chips, applesauce, dessert, coffee or cold beverage.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under.  Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at any school main office or the Community Education office.

The 877 Foundation awards scholarships to Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose School District (BHM) graduating high school seniors, who plan to study in colleges, universities or technical institutes.  Over 80 scholarships ranging from $200 to $3,000 are provided by the foundation each year.

Funding for The 877 Foundation is provided by personal memorial funds, civic organization grants, BHM staff donations, and local business contributions.  Fundraising efforts involve yearly pledges by individuals, area businesses and civic organizations, the annual porkchop dinner, bagging groceries and the BHM Staff Showcase variety show.  Donations are also contributed from special events, such as high school graduations and alumni reunions.

If you have any questions about The 877 Foundation or the pork chop dinner, contact Community Education Director Kim Carlson at 763-682-8770.
