Four Graduation Ceremonies June 3-7

Adult Basic Education GED Ceremony
Graduation week kicks off with approximately 28 adults accepting their GED diplomas during the Adult Basic Education (ABE) graduation on Tuesday, June 4 at 7 p.m. in the Discovery Center Auditorium. Along with the graduation, individuals will be recognized during an awards presentation for other achievements earned.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony and reception following the event. As many as 16 of the graduates are from the BHM School District. This school year, about 77 people have earned their GED consortium-wide (consisting of about 16 school districts).

PRIDE Transitions
It's a GOLDEN graduation ceremony for PRIDE Transitions this year! On it's fifth anniversary of the program, five students will graduate on Wednesday, June 5 at 1 p.m. at PRIDE located in the Lakeview Mall in downtown Buffalo. Family, friends and the general public are invited to attend.

PRIDE is a program designed for 18-21 year old students who are in need of additional services to make the transition from school to work and independent living.

Phoenix Learning Center
Graduation ceremonies will commence on Wednesday evening, June 5 at 6:30 p.m. at Tatanka Elementary (across the street from Phoenix). The public is encouraged and invited to attend the event and reception for the graduates. This year, eight students will receive their diploma.

Buffalo High School
Topping off the last week of school is the Buffalo High School (BHS) graduation on Friday, June 7 at 7 p.m. in the BHS main gym. This year, BHS will graduate approximately 384 students. Each student will have a limited number of tickets for family and friends to watch the ceremony in person. Others are invited to watch a live video broadcast in the air conditioned BHS Performing Arts Center.
