Family Fitness Fun Night on April 4

Phy.Ed. is hosting a Free Family Fitness Fun Night on Monday, April 4 from 6-7 p.m.
Bring your family to have fun and learn more about what students are doing in their Physical Education classes, get exercise and meet other Hanover families.
Wear shoes that you can play comfortably in. We will be bowling, playing parachute volleyball and more! Door prizes will be awarded!

Montrose Elementary School of Innovation

Just 10 years ago, the world didn't have app designers or social media managers. Who created and filled those jobs-students. Montrose Elementary Principal Tony Steffes and his staff have started to challenge the "traditional" educational experience. They have found new ways to engage students in learning that is relevant for today's world and the unknown future to come. Little by little they are infusing more and more technology into the classes, which has allowed kids to be more creative.

Kindergarten Registration Nights and Preschool Open House

It's just two months into 2016 and it's already time to start thinking about this fall! Kindergarten registration nights are happening in February and March along with preschool open house nights for Early Childhood Family Education. Be sure your child has also been through screening. This is a FREE service to families and ideally should be done by the time your child is 3.5-4 years old. Read on for more information and dates.

Pokorney Leaves the Board After 12 Years of Service

The district would like to thank Patti Pokorney for the 12 years of service that she gave while serving on the school board. During that time she served in many leadership roles on the board, including the chairperson, and on countless committees. Some might remember Pokorney out there carrying a backpack and an instrument case to help determine walking distances when school attendance boundaries changed. She has been through the opening of a new elementary school, several referendums, contract negotiations, school start time changes and more. (Continued...)
