Do you ever find yourself questioning your worthiness as a parent, a spouse or a friend? When was the last time you truly felt alive, connected or filled with joy? Are you looking for the courage to live the life you've always wanted?

On Thursday, March 15 at 7 p.m. plan on attending the latest Bounce Back event in the BHS Performing Arts Center. Dr. Corey Martin, with Allina Health in Buffalo, will give a presentation on "The Courage to be Happy." He will help you tackle those questions listed above and introduce you to a community-wide revolution that he and many others are leading right here in the BHM School District area.

Martin's presentation is the precursor to the launch of the community book read of The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown. The first 200 people at the event will receive a FREE copy of the book. Attendees will also learn about an opportunity to receive a FREE registration to one of Brown's online courses called, "The Gifts of Imperfect Parenting."

Brown is a research professor at the University of Houston where she holds the Huffington Endowed Chair. She has spent the past sixteen years studying courage, vulnerability, empathy and shame. She is the author of four books: The Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly, Rising Strong, and Braving the Wilderness.
