Superscript articles are published in the Wright County Journal-Press once a month throughout the school year; September through November and January through May. They can be found in the Sports and School News section of the paper.

Superintendent Bauck also contributes articles eight times per year, September through May, in the district's Insider newsletter and records a bi-monthly podcast called SupeCast. See Superintendent's Messages for more commentary.

Math's Spring Renewal

For many if not all Minnesotans, spring is a time of renewal.  The sun feels warm and we shed our coats.  The snow disappears, plants start to bloom, and the air has a fresh smell.  There is a very noticeable change in peoples' attitudes and a little extra energy in their step.

Staff Showcase

Since 2005, the BHM staff have created, directed, and produced a staff variety show to raise funds for student post high school scholarships.  Funds that are much needed in today's economy.  The Staff Showcase is just one more avenue where staff demonstrate their heart-felt commitment to the communities' children.

Reading is Important for Children and Adults

Reading a written language is a complex skill.  Yet when we know how to employ the skill set, it opens many doors.  At times I wonder if, as a society, reading is being forgotten in our age of technology and immediate gratification.

Technology, Technology, Technology

At times, at my age, I wish the technology world would slow down, allow people to take a deep breath, and smell the roses (or is it the key board).  However, what makes my head spin in the area of technology is viewed as normal life today by most people younger than me.

Science, Social Studies and H1N1

Lessons and homework aside, it appears H1N1 will be the major topic this fall and early winter on the school front.  Some Minnesota school districts, with only a few days of school, are experiencing a five percent student absent rate due to flu-like symptoms.  All indications are that the rate of absenteeism will be on the rise as schools head into the months of October and November.
