SupeCasts are published twice a month, after each school board workshop and regular board meetings. Those meetings are the second and fourth Monday of each month.  Listen to Superintendent Jim Bauck report on the workshop, regular board meetings, and the news and events happening around the district.

Superintendent Bauck also contributes articles monthly, throughout the school year, to the local Wright County Journal-Press and the district's Insider newsletter. See Superintendent's Messages for more commentary.

In this edition, Superintendent Jim Bauck talked about the Monday, December 14 school board meeting. The agenda was short, but a good majorty of the meeting was spent on the Truth in Taxation presentation made by the Director of Finance and Operations, Chuck Klaassen. Bauck finishes with commentary on the state's dreary budget outlook and the potential impact it will have on the district's 2010-11 budget. He concludes by inviting the public to upcoming holiday events including the Buffalo High School's Sounds of the Season music concert on Monday, December 21, and the Robert Robinson concert on Wednesday, December 23.

Superintendent Jim Bauck gave an update from the Monday, November 23 school board meeting. Highlights include more wage freezes, the approval of school board certificates of election, policies and enrollment projections. After a closed session, the board approved the discipline of an employee.

Superintendent Jim Bauck reviews the school board workshop session from Monday, November 9.  In a special meeting prior to the workshop they canvased the election votes from November 3.  During the workshop, Hanover Elementary presented to the board. Updates were given from Special Education Services, Buffalo High School activities, district finances and teaching and learning topics (testing, AYP improvement plan and the district's annual report). He also provided updates on H1N1 and thanked residents for voting in the school district election on November 3, 2009.

This week, BHM Superintendent Jim Bauck reviews the school board workshop session from Monday, October 26 which included the financial audit review, October 1 enrollment numbers and annual policy reviews. Bauck also touches on the teacher and other employee contract agreements. There will be a special board meeting before the workshop meeting on November 9 to canvas the voting results of the levy renewal and four open school board seats. Bauck wraps up with an update about the H1N1 status around the district.

This week, BHM Superintendent Jim Bauck reviews the school board workshop session from Monday, October 12 which included principals reviewing their school building improvement plans for the year. District controller Tina Burkholder concluded the workshop presentation by providing the end of the year financial analysis for the 2008-09 school year. This is a preview of the upcoming district audit. In the superintendent's commentary, Bauck gives an H1N1 update, discussed the teacher technology workshop and the November election.
