Finance Awards

The School Finance Award program was begun in 2003 by the Minnesota Department of Education.  The intent of the award was to highlight the importance of compliance with the law as well as provide a method to motivate school districts and organizations to strive towards greater levels of compliance, sound accounting, and training.  Staff at the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) review local publications, audit reports, and thousands of pieces of fiscal data to determine award winners.  Each year the award was clarified and got more rigorous.  More criteria were added in each passing year.

Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose schools is pleased to announce it has received the award in 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014.
