The James J. Hill House in Saint Paul was built by railroad magnate James J. Hill. The house, completed in 1891, is on Summit Avenue near the Cathedral of Saint Paul. The house, for its time, was very large and was the "showcase of St. Paul".  It is listed as a U.S. National Historic Landmark, operated by the Minnesota Historical Society.

  • Coach bus departs east side of Discovery Center, door #1, at 10:30 am
  • House tour 11:30 am-12:45 pm, boxed lunch from D'Amico's 1 pm
  • Choice A:  Turkey, smoked bacon sandwich, lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese
  • Choice B:  Roast beef sandwich, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, onion and provolone cheese
  • Choice C:  Raw vegetable wrap, carrots, cucumber, red cabbage, arugula, sprouts and hummus
  • All boxed lunches include fruit cup, chips and cookie. Beverage is not included
  • Bus returns back to Buffalo approximately 3 pm
  • $59 fee includes coach bus transportation, tour ticket, boxed lunch and chaperone
